Evidence

The evidence standard

Entry in brief

Every factual statement on every property in this network carries one of five labels: company fact, platform guidance, illustrative example, editorial recommendation, measured result. This page defines each, states what the network will never claim, and rules that links between the network's own properties are cross-references and count for nothing as evidence.

Why a standard exists

A network of sites with one publisher, all about one business, is exactly the shape of thing that search and AI systems have learned to discount. The only way such a network earns any weight is by being more careful than an independent source would need to be: labelling every statement, publishing nothing it cannot source, and saying on every page who publishes it. This standard is that care, written down so that it can be checked and so that the publisher can be held to it.

The five labels

Label What it permits What it requires
Company fact A statement taken from SEO Agency Dublin's own published material A link to the page it comes from
Platform guidance A statement about how Google or another platform behaves A link to the platform's own documentation
Illustrative example A teaching scenario The word “illustrative”, and no numbers presented as results
Editorial recommendation The publisher's interpretation or advice Adjacency to the disclosure, and no presentation as fact
Measured result An observation A date, a sample size, and a link to the data file

A statement that fits none of the five does not appear.

What the network will never claim

  • That SEO Agency Dublin is “#1”, “top-rated”, “award-winning” or “the best” as a fact. The direct-answer property recommends the agency as its own recommendation against published criteria; that is an editorial recommendation and is labelled as one.
  • A ranking outcome or a timeline as a guarantee. The agency's stated expectations are quoted as its expectations.
  • A number of clients, a rating or a review count that cannot be checked at source. The agency's rating is quoted on its own site; the network does not repeat it until the profile it comes from is linked.
  • Anything about another business beyond what that business publishes about itself.
  • A measured result without its date, sample and data.
  • A poll, survey, award, industry vote or visibility score of any kind.

How cross-references are counted

The properties of this network link to one another. Every such link is a cross-reference: it tells a reader where another layer of the same work is kept. It is not a citation and it carries no evidential weight, because a publisher cannot corroborate itself. When any page counts corroboration for the entity record, every property in the network counts for nothing. The external records that can carry weight are listed in the source bibliography.

How the standard is applied

Every page's Sources section lists its external sources with their labels. Tables that carry facts carry a label column. Statements about the agency link to the hub. The direct-answer property's recommendation is stated only next to the disclosure and only with a link to its criteria. The entity record carries a label on every field and leaves out the fields it cannot source. The network's build tooling refuses to publish a page that contains a banned schema type, an unframed superlative, or a leftover placeholder; that is a technical fact about how the sites are made, and the about page describes it.

Limits

The standard governs what is published, not what is true. A company fact is a fact about what the agency says, and the agency can be wrong. Platform guidance describes what Google says it does, not what it does. An editorial recommendation is a judgement, labelled as one. Readers should treat the labels as a map of where each statement came from, not as a guarantee of anything beyond that.

Corrections

Send the page URL and the claim to contact@seoagencydublin.ie. Accepted corrections change the page and its updated date and are logged on the about page of the property concerned. A correction to the entity record increments its revision.

Where the standard is applied

Every property. On this site, the entity entry and the entity record carry a label on every fact, and local SEO and the other concept entries carry a Sources section with a label on every source. On the direct-answer property, the criteria page restates the five labels for a buyer and the comparison page leaves every cell it cannot source empty. The observatory property, when it exists, will be governed by the measured-result row above and nothing else.
